Job description

LIQUI MOLY USA is seeking a candidate to fill a new position as Product Sourcing Coordinator . Join our team and you will work with people who think positively about the future and are upbeat about life.

In this position, you will take an active part in the successful growth of our company. The Purchasing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting procurement, inventory, and catalog management within the Operations Department. This role will take lead in the evaluation, sourcing, logistics processing, and onboarding new products to the catalog, vendor relationships, and inventory monitoring. This role requires a blend of supply chain coordination and product-focused thinking, especially suited to someone with experience and interest in the automotive aftermarket and related categories.

LIQUI MOLY is a leading manufacturer of OE-type high-quality motor oils, additives, and other lubricant products with headquarters located in Ulm, Germany. Since 1957 we have supplied the German marketplace with innovative quality oil and additive products for the automotive, powersports / marine, and industrial markets. In 1992 we began our sales effort in the United States and these past 10 years sales have grown significantly.

To continue our successful growth, we continue to expand our teams. This opportunity provides a competitive salary range of $80,000-$90,000, D.O.E. Also included are travel expense reimbursement, laptop computer, iPhone, 401K plan, health insurance, paid vacation, and holidays.

  • This position is a hybrid office-based assignment

Area of activity :

  • Lead evaluation and selection of new products and suppliers for catalog inclusion, considering quality, market demand, compliance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Designate and lead projects in the onboarding of new products, including data entry, specification collection, internal documentation, and regional compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to ensure product listings are accurate, complete, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Create, process, and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Track inventory levels and reorder points to maintain product availability and prevent stock shortages.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and regional support teams to confirm pricing, order status, delivery timelines, and streamline material flow.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor performance, product specifications, and pricing history.
  • Partner with warehouse and logistics teams align procurement plans with demand forecasts and order fulfillment schedules.
  • Work to resolve issues related to shipments, order discrepancies, and product availability.
  • Contribute to and design cost reduction initiatives and supply chain optimization strategies.
  • Lead development and implementation of digital transformation initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Prepare and maintain regular reports on purchasing activity, inventory status, and product performance, including landed cost and margin analyses.
  • Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or product sourcing; automotive aftermarket experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the automotive aftermarket industry, terminology, and product categorization is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with purchasing or ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) or catalog management systems is an advantage.
  • Must haves :

  • Have a current valid driver's license with a clean record.
