Opportunities to specialize, offer clinical supervision, and conduct non-clinical work can be designed collaboratively for those interested, but are not required.

CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST POSITION :

Understanding Minds Psychological Services is seeking a small number of experienced clinical therapists to join our South County team. This position is ideal for providers who desire a collaborative and supportive environment in which they can focus on providing excellent clinical care. Integrated administrative and leadership teams handle all operational, scheduling, billing, and compliance tasks. Opportunities to specialize, offer clinical supervision, and conduct non-clinical work can be designed collaboratively for those interested, but are not required.

Role and responsibilities include :

• Individual therapy with children, adolescents, and / or adults, couples, or family therapy, depending on provider's clinical interests
• Comprehensive intake and follow-up assessments
• Timely and accurate documentation of sessions
• Stable, reliable, and consistent care to clients in accordance with ethical and professional principles
• Participation at weekly Treatment Team meetings (Tuesdays 12-1pm)
• Functioning as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team
• Opportunities to participate in and / or develop additional clinical programming if desired

Full-time administrative coverage also means that both clients and therapists receive prompt, thoughtful responses to their needs. In addition to taking calls and emails in real time, our administrative staff respond to left messages the same or following day, allowing clients to feel taken care of from the first point of contact and reducing undue burden on providers.
