Overview

NaphCare is hiring a PRN Independently Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our team of medical professionals at the San Diego County Jail located in San Diego, CA.

The payrange for this position is $45.90 - 48.45 / hour

As a Correctional Independently Licensed Mental Health Professional , you will provide mental health services, including assessments, treatments, and support to the facility residents, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex mental health needs.

Responsibilities

The Independently Licensed Mental Health Professional , is responsible for providing performing and documenting mental health evaluations, developing treatment plans, and monitoring progress notes. Additional responsibilities may include and not be limited to :

Providing individual and group therapy, including specialized groups like substance abuse or sex offender therapy

• Intervening in crisis situations, including suicide prevention and emergent mental health needs

• Participating in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and healthcare staff
• Collaborating with other professionals, such as medical staff, correctional officers, and social workers, to provide holistic care
• Preparing inmates for release by connecting them with community resources and support services
