Pay Information

$2,386 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Occupational Therapist

Profession : Occupational Therapist

Specialty : Long Term Care

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days

Hours per Shift : 8 hours M-F, flexible as long as consistent and communicated

Experience : 1 year of experience required; new graduates accepted with Level II fieldwork experience

License : Occupational Therapist license required

Certifications : NBCOT / AOTA and State Required practice acts

Must-Have :

1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required

Experience in long term care or rehabilitation

OT license required

Description :

Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and / or activities of daily living (ADL) physical functioning disorders.

Develop appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.

Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.

Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients.

Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercises.

Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.

Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services based on patient evaluation outcomes.

Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.

Effectively communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.

Provide comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided according to regulatory and clinical requirements.

Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records.

Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided according to all regulatory and clinical requirements.

Participate in required meetings, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.

Attend facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences.

Obtain necessary durable medical equipment or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.

Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and / or students.

Adhere to ethical practice standards during professional practice as an Occupational Therapist.
