Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care hospital Day shift schedule : 3x12 hour shifts (07 : 00-19 : 30) Every other weekend required Float to all adult inpatient departments including cardiac stepdown, oncology, ortho / trauma, post-surgical, rehab, and ICU stepdown as needed Potential for float to affiliated hospitals based on census Subject to call and may be released on call twice per contract One holiday shift required during assignment Uses Cerner PowerChart for documentation Responsible for providing care to a diverse med / surg and telemetry patient population Will be working also with cardiac stepdown, oncology, ortho / trauma, post-surgical, rehab, and ICU stepdown patients as needed Royal blue scrubs required No parking costs for staff Up to 8 hours of pre-start online modules must be completed within one week of signing Professional conduct standards are strictly enforced Candidates must be gone for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler if previously employed Requested time off may not exceed 10 days per contract; one holiday shift required if RTO overlaps holidays Requirements Active IN or compact RN license, or pending license active by start date Current BLS certification required Minimum one year of RN experience Telemetry training and ability to pass a telemetry test required Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred CPI certification preferred Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility First-time travelers accepted All required certifications must be obtained prior to start; pending certs accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-633594.
