Security Manager

About the Role :
The Security Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for maintaining strategic oversight of all security and safety operations across the Resort. This includes managing departmental staffing, training, budgets, and crisis management procedures to ensure the safety of all guests, employees, and assets while protecting the integrity of the property's brand and reputation.
You will partner closely with department leaders, serve as a liaison to local law enforcement and regulatory agencies, and champion safety awareness throughout the property.
What You Will Do :
- Lead the Resort's security operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of guests, employees, and property assets.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures related to security, safety, and emergency response.
- Patrol and inspect the property to identify potential hazards and enforce all safety and security standards.
- Promote safety awareness through proactive training and regular communication across all departments.
- Manage and oversee all incident reports, investigations, and documentation; follow up on claims and support loss prevention efforts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the Security team including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency agencies.
- Conduct and oversee required trainings, including Fire Life Safety, OSHA, TIPS, BBP, and Hazard Communication.
- Administer and track Workers' Compensation cases; ensure compliance with state, federal, and local safety codes and regulations.
- Participate in developing and managing the departmental budget.
- Conduct regular fire drills and emergency response simulations to maintain preparedness.
- Oversee and manage employee shuttle operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for all employees. Maintain clear communication with drivers, monitor schedules and routes, and ensure compliance with company safety policies and transportation regulations.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in sensitive or high-pressure situations.

What You Bring :
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.Previous supervisory experience in hospitality security required.In-depth knowledge of CAL-OSHA, OSHA, ADA, and other applicable state and federal codes.Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills.Ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective decisions in emergency situations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays to support 24 / 7 operationsWhat We Offer :
