Medical Assistant Position

We are currently looking for a medical assistant (31.5 hours / week) for our Med / Peds Department. Position is eligible for part-time benefits including medical and dental insurance. Applicants do not need previous experience or training / certification as a medical assistant but do need to meet the minimum requirements for the position.

Job Description :

As a provider assistant at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater, you are responsible for a variety of patient care duties and other related duties in the clinical setting that include documentation of medical information, administration of medications / vaccinations and treatments, as well as obtaining medical histories, vital signs, etc. The provider assistant assists the healthcare providers in the timely delivery of services per physician / RN direction and according to Clinic policies and procedures. All programs and activities are designed to support the short- and long-term mission, vision, goals, and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.

Required Qualifications :

PLUS current CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications :

All candidates should have excellent verbal and written skills; excellent customer services skills; tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients, families, and care team members; An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions; Understanding of patient education needs, able to effectively share information with patient, family members and care team members as needed; Ability to learn, retain information regarding patient care procedures; Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks; Ability to remain calm in stressful situation; Experience with Epic preferred.
