Our Drivers (non-CDL) operate our motor vehicles not requiring a CDL transporting passengers in compliance with all applicable laws and company standards.
Essential Duties :
- Complies with all federal, state, and county laws, rules and regulations, including hours of service, current driver documents (driver’s license, medical certification, driver history, violation and review form).
- Conducts a daily pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicles. Ensures vehicles are in proper working order and have proper fluid levels. Ensures interiors are clean and presentable, with essential tools and other items.
- Follows assigned schedules and routes.
- Greets and assists passengers in a friendly and welcoming manner when boarding and / or exiting the vehicle.
- Loads / unloads passenger baggage.
- Reports any mechanical defects, safety concerns, or vehicle damage to the proper department.
- Reports any injuries, accidents, or incidents immediately to Dispatch.
- Conducts post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Completes all required paperwork.
- In uniform standards as per Employee Handbook.
- Possess all credentials, (e.g., driver’s license, medical certificate, airport and harbor badges etc.) needed to perform the job.
- Accepts and performs other job-related duties as assigned in a positive manner.
Physical, Mental and Communications Demands :
Duties require relating to customers, employees and management in a friendly and professional manner at all times.Working conditions require sitting for extended periods of time, standing, climbing stairs, walking long distances, bending, squatting, pushing / pulling as needed throughout the day.Physical demands may require items up to 50 lbs.Ability to clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, employees, and the general public.Duties require a flexible work schedule.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent required .Experience :
Must be at least 18 years of age.Possession of a valid driver’s license.One year of commercial driving experience is preferred, but not required.Knowledge & Skills :
Knowledge of basic state and federal laws, pertaining to operating motor vehicles.Possesses good customer service skills.Perform in an ethical, safe and legal manner at all times.Ability to use good judgment and decision-making while handling multiple situations.Ability to work independently without supervision.Benefits :
