Job Summary

The (Global Health department is currently seeking a Student AI intern to join their team of professionals. Duties to include :

• Integrate and utilize AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, HuggingFace) to perform tasks such as summarization, classification, or generation of content through Python-based automation.
• Analyze and visualize data using tools like Power BI, Plotly, or Seaborn, creating clean, user-friendly dashboards that communicate AI-generated insights clearly.
• Automate data-driven tasks and AI workflows by combining model outputs with conditional logic or scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Organize and maintain code repositories using Git and GitHub, including clean folder structures, version control, and collaborative contributions.
• Design and iterate on prompts for language models, optimizing responses for accuracy, formatting, and task relevance.

Minimum Qualifications

Proven experience using AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google AI) in real projects must know how to structure and send POST requests using Pythons requests library, handle authentication, and parse JSON responses for downstream use.

Strong applied knowledge of classical machine learning algorithms, including implementation with scikit-learn, model evaluation using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and hyperparameter tuning.

Ability to automate end-to-end AI workflows, combining outputs from APIs or models with task-specific logic using Python, Power Automate, or equivalent to build scalable solutions (e.g., auto-classifiers, summarization bots, etc.).

Data analysis and visualization skills, with experience using tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI, or Tableau, and the ability to design clean, user-friendly reports and dashboards from raw or processed data.

At least one well-documented project or portfolio piece demonstrating a complete AI / ML workflow including API interaction, data processing, automation, and visualization available on GitHub, Kaggle, or equivalent.

High adaptability to evolving project needs, including flexibility in switching tools, exploring new libraries or APIs, and responding to last-minute technical or functional changes without affecting progress or quality.
