About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Technician

Must-Have :

• Certification from a recognized body in sterile processing and distribution.

Description :

Responsible for sterile instrumentation processing.

Perform terminal cleaning and decontamination of patient care instrumentation and equipment in accordance with regulatory standards.

Conduct diagnostic and biological testing of surgical sterilization equipment.

Distribute supplies to various hospital departments and nursing units as necessary.

Assemble and wrap instrumentation trays for surgical procedures per recommended practices.

Process stock for surgery and central processing department.

Decontaminate patient care equipment and surgical instrumentation.

Assemble sterile instrumentation and supplies for surgical procedures according to specifications.

Monitor stock levels and rotation of instrumentation and supplies.

Practice safe, efficient, and effective sterilization procedures.

Conduct biological testing of sterilization methods.

Coordinate timely preparation of equipment needed for upcoming scheduled procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Demonstrate commitment to customer service standards consistently.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Relevant experience of at least 6 months preferred.

Certified Registered Central Services Technician preferred.

One year of relevant experience preferred.

Physical Demands :

May require lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs.

Frequent standing and walking are necessary.

Occasional pushing and pulling required.

May involve reaching above shoulder height and handling of materials.

Visual acuity and hand dexterity are necessary for performing job functions.
