What We're Looking For
Baylor is seeking a Character Formation Assistant / Associate Director. This position works in Baylor's Athletic department and is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of our athletic support services designed to facilitate the personal and professional development of all student-athletes.
A Master's Degree is preferred, three year of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. Three years of relevant work experience are preferred.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
- Lead and facilitate career development programs, as well as coordinate and execute career development initiatives.
- Serve as the advisor and oversee the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
- Assist in the implementation of Character Formation programs to include personal skills, community engagement, personal skills, leadership, and spiritual growth.
- Serve as the career coach for identified sports.
- Maintain communication with coaches, compliance, and administration on the progress of student-athletes. Identify issues as necessary to the coaching staff.
- Establish and maintain relationships with campus and community partners.
- Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institution rules and regulations and communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff.
- Other program duties as requested by the Director of Athletics or the area head.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
- Ability to comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
