About the Company We're hiring on behalf of a well-established concrete services company that works on commercial construction projects across the DFW area. The Dallas terminal is extremely busy the phones don't really stop. This team runs 24 / 7 work, supports multiple job sites at once, and is known for stepping up for customers even when schedules change at the last minute. Because of continued growth in Dallas, were adding a Dispatch Assistant to help support the Operations Manager and keep daily field operations running smoothly.
About the Role This position is the heartbeat of the office. You will be working in real-time entering job tickets, building schedules, assigning crews, coordinating equipment rentals, ordering materials, and dealing with issues that pop up in the field. You'll be on the phone a lot. You'll be texting managers and field operators. You'll be adjusting schedules constantly. You'll need to be calm when others are not.If you like solving problems on the fly, enjoy being the central hub of communication, and don't get rattled when there are 10 things happening at once this is that kind of role.
What You'll Be Doing -Entering job orders / tickets into Jonas software-Scheduling crews on a weekly and daily basis-Talking with project managers and job site personnel about timing, changes, and updates-Coordinating equipment rentals (skid steers, lifts, etc.)-Ordering materials (rebar, concrete, etc.) and haul-off trucks when needed-Keeping track of where crews are, how jobs are progressing, and what comes next-Helping with documentation (timecards, field tickets, occasional write-ups)-Sharing on-call responsibilities (this is a 24 / 7 operation the load is shared) What the Right Person Looks Like -At least 2 years of dispatching, scheduling, or operations coordination experience-Stays calm under pressure and doesn't shut down when the inbox is full-Strong communicator (phone, text, email) direct and clear-Good at solving problems as they happen-Comfortable learning systems (Jonas experience is a plus; Excel is helpful)-Reliable, dependable, consistent someone who shows up each day ready to go-No degree required. Work ethic matters more than education. Pay & Benefits -$60,000-$70,000 annual salary (depending on experience)-Health insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield)-401(k)-PTO & holidays
