Join our growing team at Miller Transportation Group as a Staff Accountant for our Miller Truck Leasing division. The Staff Accountant will maintain financial records and ensure transactions are properly recorded. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Finance.
Requirements
You Will :
Ensure the accurate creation and booking of journal entries and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.Reconcile all cash accounts and research variances.Compile financial data to aid the accounting team in the preparation of various financial reports.Ensure accurate and timely recording of shared service items.Assist in research and completion of forms for entering different jurisdictions and municipalities.Complete required reports for local and national requirements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.Support other various projects, as needed.You Have :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.1 - 3 years of related experience.Strong communication skills, demonstrated by an ability to convey ideas clearly.Active listening skills, exhibited by understanding other perspectives.A value for collaborating with others and fostering a positive work environment.A strong sense of personal responsibility for individual tasks.Careful attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in your work.A growth mindset, seeking out opportunities for personal and professional development.Benefits
