About You :

The ideal candidate for this role is a Registered Veterinary Technician, has completed an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program, and has a minimum of 2 years of tech experience, preferably working in an emergency or specialty hospital setting. This person has a very established skillset and navigates all communication, including conflict, professionally and courteously. This is an invaluable position to serve the staff using creative problem-solving, upholding our gold standard of patient care, and continuing to foster a culture of teamwork.

Essential Job Functions :

• Observing patients for behavioral changes
• Preparing patients for diagnostics (radiographs, sample draws, MRI, CSF tap, surgical procedures)
• Performing patient care
• Collecting and running lab samples
• Capturing diagnostic images (radiographs and MRI)
• Administering medications orally, intravenously and intramuscularly
• Collecting and maintaining patients records efficiently and effectively
• Effective client communication
• Practice of fear free techniques
• Other duties as assigned on an as needed basis

10 - Hour Shifts

Some weekends are required.

On-call rotation required.

Compensation : $20.00 to $25.00 base pay depending on experience level and credential
