Position Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Senior Director, the CES Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the effectiveness of the Adults and Family Programs and the Aging Adult Programs. This role also assists with the Community Health and Wellness (CHW) Program, including the African American Holistic Wellness (AAHW) initiative, which focuses on promoting overall well-being through holistic approaches to health, wellness, social engagement, and mental health awareness.
The Bayview Hunters Point YMCA plays a vital role in addressing community needs, including health promotion, social connection, educational support, and access to wellness resources. This position primarily involves coordinating program activities and cultural events for adults and families. Some evening and weekend availability are required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
The Program Coordinator works in a community-based environment, which includes both indoor and outdoor settings depending on the program activities. This role involves frequent interaction with staff, community members, and partners in a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere. Occasional travel within the local area may be required to attend meetings, events, or community gatherings.
The Program Coordinator is expected to lift and move materials for events and programs, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The position also requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods during activities or while facilitating programs. Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as the role may involve evening and weekend commitments to support program schedules and community events.

Salary Description
The Program Coordinator position offers a compensation range of $28.00 – $30.00 per hour. This rate is based on salary benchmarking for similar roles and is aligned with grant fund approvals and requirements for the position.
