GENERAL GREENHOUSE WORKER

Compensation : $16.28 / hour (starting wage) [as of Nov 2025]

Status : Temporary / Seasonal ; Hourly Agricultural

Hours : Full-time, 35-55+ hr / week (based on Greenhouse needs)

Schedules : Schedules vary, but generally start 7 : 00AM; 5-6 days per week. Hours average at 45 hours per week during the peak season (December - May). All candidates must have Saturday & Sunday availability.

Reports To : Operations Supervisor

Floating Seasonal General Greenhouse Workers work within greenhouse teams to assure quality young plants, flowers, vegetables, bedding plants, and other horticultural products are delivered to our customers. General Greenhouse Workers may be assigned to different processes / departments depending on the time of the year and report directly to an operations Supervisor at our North facility (in Brighton, CO). In addition to caring for plants, workers also must maintain area cleanliness, follow supervisor structure, and act in accordance with the rules and regulations set by TGE.

This is a Seasonal position, with different benefits an pay than year-round workers. The dates of peak season can fluctuate based on annual sales, weather, business needs, by facility, but this year is expected from approximately December 1st through May 22nd (+ / - 2-3 weeks based on business needs.)

The primary language spoken in daily communications is Spanish with English instruction / interpretation available upon request at the Brighton North facility. English / Spanish and other languages including Persian / Arabic are both spoken by some staff members, however primary instruction for daily operations is typically in both English / Spanish. Interpretations available upon request as necessitated by the business and training needs.

Daily tasks vary based on the time of year and product lines, but work assigned to greenhouse workers may include the following tasks or department work :

Seeding / Sticking / Planting

Movement (Internal Greenhouse)

Greenhouse Ranges / Transplanting

Production / Growing / Maintenance

Collation, Warehouse / Dock, Shipping & Receiving

In addition to the above responsibilities, General Greenhouse Workers will be required to assist with various projects around the greenhouse as needed and directed by their Supervisor. Supervisors routinely communicate and check-in with workers, however workers may be required to work independently, or in small groups following supervisor instructions is given to a primary contact within the group and only check-in periodically related to progress.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. To prevent injury, employees must abide by the safety procedures set by Tagawa Greenhouse Ent., LLC. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
