• 1 year of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio of 1 : 5 with mixed / shared acuity levels
• Every other weekend required
• Float to other units when census warrants
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• NY license required in hand to submit (must be outside 75-mile radius)
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Scrub color requirements : any combination of navy and white
• Care for all age groups : neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Required skills include blood product administration, central line care / management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, CVA care, and isolation precautions
• Must be comfortable with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure management required
• General emergency department experience with combined adult / pediatric patients
• Pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours total, 5 hours billable)
