Compensation Range : $180,000.00- $200,000.00 + Performance Based Bonuses
Company Overview :
We are a high-end, fast-growing landscape design + build firm in NYC, specializing in rooftops, courtyards, outdoor amenities, and complex residential & commercial spaces . Our projects range from boutique private gardens to large-scale multi-family developments, working closely with leading architects, developers, and GCs .
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven COO to take ownership of day-to-day operations, lead a skilled team, and drive execution at scale .
The Opportunity :
The COO will oversee all operational functions, including project management, estimating, purchasing, design, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and financial oversight .
The role requires a strong, experienced driver to lead operations , manage performance , and consistently deliver multi-million-dollar projects at the highest standards
Ideal candidates will have significant operational leadership experience from a general contractor, construction management, or large-scale landscape design / build environment and a proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Project Delivery
Oversee day-to-day operations across estimating, scheduling, purchasing, project management, and design.
Ensure multi-million-dollar projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standards .
Lead subcontractor management, procurement, and vendor negotiations for optimal pricing and execution.
Drive operational efficiency and enforce accountability across all departments.
Financial & Performance Management
Partner with the CFO to manage budgets, cash flow, job costing, and KPI tracking .
Provide regular reporting to the CEO on company performance and project health .
Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce inefficiencies.
Strategic Growth
Scale operational systems to support larger, more complex projects .
Maintain and strengthen relationships with architects, developers, GCs, and subcontractors .
Play a pivotal role in positioning the company for its next stage of growth .
Qualifications
3-5 years of operations leadership within construction, general contracting, or landscape design / build.
Proven success managing multi-million-dollar construction projects .
Experience leading cross-functional teams and overseeing both internal staff and subcontractors.
Strong financial and project management skills .
