Overview
Works directly with customers to define functional requirements and design, configure, commission and qualify control systems for the Food and Beverage division.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions
- Work in team environment with engineers and designers from RoviSys, partners and clients to provide state of the art Control Systems to improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing
- Develop Life Cycle documents, Electrical panels, Control Architecture and wiring drawings per GMP standards
- Redline P&ID documentation
- Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) & distributed control system (DCS) configurations
- Testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Develop engineering standards to improve efficiency and accuracy of project execution
- Provide technical sales support to RoviSys business development team
- Travel Requirements : 10-30%
Qualifications
4-8 years of experience in automation or related fieldDemonstrates the ability to perform technical and leadership responsibilitiesCommunicate effectively and professionally with both customers and colleagues to present new ideas, accomplish challenging goals, and solve problemsAbility to guide a project with little supervision and guidanceThorough understanding of control system design and implementationSelf-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with peopleHands-on experience with current PLC or DCS platformsProficient with Microsoft Windows and Server operating systemsDesired Qualifications :
B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering or Engineering TechnologyExperience with : Rockwell Automation, Siemens, AVEVA Wonderware, Inductive Automation IgnitionElectrical design fundamentalsBatch process control experienceElectro-mechanical and machine control experienceUnderstanding of common Food and Beverage industry processes such as CIP, pasteurization, and packaging.General understanding of Network design / administrationJ-18808-Ljbffr
