Job Title : Part-Time Cafeteria Cashier

Reports To : Director of Cafeterias

Requirement : Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as random drug screens required by the plant location and background check .

Job Summary :

The Part-Time Cafeteria Cashier is responsible for operating the cash register, handling customer transactions, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced cafeteria environment. This role includes light food service duties, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and ensuring all financial transactions are accurate.

Key Responsibilities :

• Operate a cash register and handle cash, credit / debit card, and meal account transactions accurately.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
• Ensure the correct price is charged and provide correct change.
• Assist with stocking, setting up, and replenishing food and beverage items.
• Maintain cleanliness of cashier station, dining areas, and condiment counters.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines at all times.
• Work as part of a team with kitchen staff and other cashiers.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve basic complaints or refer to a supervisor.
• Assist with closing duties such as cleaning, counting cash drawers, and securing the register.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health regulations.
