Duties

  • Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
  • Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.

  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses.
  • Prepare for and attend trials.
  • Travel may be required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in insurance defense and coverage preferred.
  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in Oregon or Washington; other states a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Prompt responsiveness to emails and calls.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Education

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
