Job descriptionMonitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for personnel and property. Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures and site-specific protocols. Carry out security-related procedures and respond to emergency situations or incidents in a calm and problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential hazards. Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols or while performing access control duties. Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to communicate concerns or observations related to security-related matters at the location. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Officer - Industrial Access Control
As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Control in Oakland, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry and exit points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents.
