We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Electrical Design Engineer to join the Flight Simulation Labs team supporting U.S. Navy Operational Training Centers (OTCs) for the F / A-18 program. This hands-on, lab-based role involves the design, integration, and lifecycle management of electrical hardware within simulation environments.
In addition to strong technical capabilities, we’re seeking someone who can bring a fresh perspective and help navigate and evolve team culture, working effectively alongside highly experienced (and at times, change-resistant) peers. Key Responsibilities
Design and support electrical systems and COTS component integration for simulation benches (OTCs)Execute the full productrequirements gathering, design, test procedures, implementation, and maintenanceWork with PC cards, resistors, transistors, cockpit hardware, and other simulation system components (no circuit-level design)Maintain lab hardware inventory and manage spare partsCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (hardware, software, systems)Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with design requirementsInfluence lab operations and team culture to promote collaboration and innovation About the TeamYou will join a team supporting F-15, F-18, and T-7A platforms. This role focuses on the F / A-18 OTC effort for the U.S. Navy. The team includes both employees and contractors, working to modernize its approach to collaboration and engineering workflows.
