Description :
The Seed Distribution Center is seeking a customer-centric candidate for Inventory Control. The candidate will be the main resource for all inventory counts, discrepancies, and for keeping the physical inventory synchronized with system counts. This person will drive product availability and inventory accuracy.
The person will work extensively with both the production and the distribution departments to ensure inventory control within the manual and automated storage systems. This person will be accountable for progressively increasing inventory accuracy standards and high customer satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities :
- Create and conduct daily cycle counts
- Investigate, and address all inventory discrepancies
- Perform root cause and trend analysis
- Reintroduce product to the automated picking system after returns, mis-picks and cancellations
- Manage unrestricted and blocked inventory categories
- Work with internal and external departments on process improvement and best practices
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Minimum High School diploma. Additional education beyond HS preferred.SAP experience preferredDemonstrates skilled PC knowledge, including MS Word, Excel, Share Point, and Outlook.
