Join Iteris as a dedicated Product Testing Technician where you'll play a key role in supporting our manufacturing team. This position involves troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues while collaborating with Manufacturing Engineers to enhance product quality and processes. You will ensure that all potential quality concerns are addressed during final testing and help identify root causes while implementing corrective actions. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, has a proactive attitude, and possesses the determination to overcome challenges that impact our company's objectives.
Evening shift schedule : M-Th 1 : 30pm - 11 : 00pm and F 8 : 00am - 12 : 00pm
Responsibilities include :
- Collaborating with Manufacturing and Design Engineers to apply effective testing techniques.
- Training team members to ensure optimal performance.
- Assisting in root cause analysis and developing long-term solutions for production and test issues.
- Conducting regular audits to enhance safety and efficiency within the workspace.
- Discussing upcoming testing requests and schedules with the Production Manager regularly.
- Working with Engineering to formulate test procedures.
- Establishing control systems to guarantee products meet quality standards.
- Reporting quality, process, equipment, materials, and labor concerns to the Manager.
- Identifying areas for continuous improvement and supporting initiatives alongside the Manager.
- Promoting lean manufacturing practices and maintaining 6S standards.
- Keeping a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Leading by example and sharing knowledge to support others.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Manager.
To excel in this position, you should have :
A Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but at least three years of related experience or training is essential, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.A High School diploma or GED.A minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Legal authorization to work in the United States.Bilingual skills (English / Spanish) are a plus.The ability to exert moderate physical effort, which may include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.Iteris offers a competitive base salary range of $25.00 to $28.00 for this role, depending on your job-related skills and experience.
