The Box Office Associate is a front-line full-time non-exempt position that is responsible for selling tickets and subscriptions for Boston Ballet performances and for providing excellent customer service and accurate information to all patrons.
Essential Functions
- Process tickets subscriptions exchanges comps group sales refunds donations and gift cards using Tessitura (Boston Ballets customer relation management database)
- Balance and reconcile sales / exchange activities daily
- Receive and respond to inbound messages with a high level of customer service and a focus on being friendly and patient with a strong ability to problem solve difficult situations
- Maintain a high level of performance knowledge to speak with patrons about the season repertoire
- Responsible for staying organized and aware of Box Office policies and general Boston Ballet information
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of the database
- Participate in outbound calling campaigns as directed by the Box Office Manager
- Assist in opening the Box Office at the administrative office and the Citizens Opera House
- Responsible for working at the theatre in the Box Office during performance weeks
- Perform various administrative tasks

Requirements
