Intervention Specialist

Are you a skilled and dedicated Intervention Specialist seeking an exciting career opportunity? This is an onsite fulltime contract position for an Intervention Specialist starting pay at 45 dollars an hour (based on experience) in the Akron, Ohio area.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with IEPs and 504 Plans

Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment

Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities

Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly

Skills

Proven experience as a Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher

Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methodology

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Excellent communication and instructional skills

Ability to act as mediator between children

Cool-tempered, friendly, reliable, and adaptable

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)

Valid state (OH) teaching certification / license in Special Education

Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred

Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
