BryceTech is hiring : Technical Writer in Boston

BryceTech is currently looking for a Technical Writer to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Planning and Exercise Division (PED). The position offers flexible work location options at any of FEMA's 10 regional offices : Boston, MA; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Denton, TX; Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO; Oakland, CA; or Bothell, WA.

The role involves developing deliberate and crisis action plans, plan validation and exercises, training, data and geospatial analytics, and providing technical assistance. The Technical Writer will support program management, planning, policy, readiness, internal controls, administrative services, and business office support, operating in both unclassified and classified environments.

Key responsibilities include :

• Performing qualitative and quantitative research and analysis of large data sets from sources like the Internet, FEMA Intranet, and FEMA Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Interpreting analysis results into well-structured written formats using appropriate templates.
• Developing graphics to illustrate complex concepts.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Managing a centralized repository using FEMA SharePoint.
• Organizing and supporting meetings, both in-person and virtual.
• Ensuring compliance with federal accessibility guidelines (Section 508 and Section 255).
