Full-time Intake Coordinator

Baystate Health, Western Massachusetts's premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a Full-time Intake Coordinator to join our experienced Family Advocacy Center in Springfield, MA.

Responsibilities

Baystate Health's Intake Coordinator's play a key role in helping patients access the care they need. You'll be the first point of contact for patients and providers, ensuring a smooth, respectful, and efficient intake and referral process.

• Receive and process referrals from physicians, agencies, and patients.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and schedule outpatient appointments.
• Coordinate care between patients, providers, and community partners.
• Communicate promptly and professionally with referral sources and patients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve referral or scheduling issues with sound judgment.
• Maintain accurate records and track appointment availability.
• Promote positive relationships with providers and referral sources.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours a week Monday through Friday, either 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm or 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm No weekends, No holidays

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED, required 3-5 years of experience in a physician office or healthcare setting, preferred Great interpersonal skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment a MUST Medical terminology, keyboard, Microsoft office products, schedule systems, medical records (electronic and paper), billing, basic math, language, reading and writing, customer service
