Job Responsibilities
Serves as a Generalist who provides crossover functions in the Student Success Center at the Thornley Campus. Responsibilities include supporting admissions processing, guiding students through orientation and registration, providing billing details and payment information, sharing financial aid initiatives and resources, assisting with academic advising, offering counseling and career services referrals, maintaining accurate student records, assigning students to advisors, and collaborating with faculty and staff to promote student retention, success, and completion.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
This position requires a bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in higher education or a student services environment preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, changing environment. Proven ability to collaborate across departments to support student success initiatives. Demonstrated knowledge of student support resources and services available within a college environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the ability to adapt to continual changes in information technology and related processes. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment in all interactions with students. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, walk across campus as needed, and travel when required. This position requires a high level of professionalism, patience, and adaptability in a dynamic work setting. The employee will be expected to work collaboratively across college divisions and use independent assessment to assist students effectively.
