Operations Project Manager - Virginia Richmond Market
The Project Manager is a strategic advisor to the Richmond Medical Group Administrative team, who leads and directs chartered teams to plan, assess, design solutions and implement solutions for specific projects. The Project Manager within the Project Management Office supports implementation of identified strategies and initiatives for the organization to achieve targeted goals and financial benefit. In addition, he / she will support the prioritized initiatives of the Richmond Medical Group with the development of various reports, presentations, and dashboard metrics.
The Project Manager will hold :
- Bachelor's degree in a health related or business field
- A Master's degree in Business, Healthcare, Public Health is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years project management experience including operations, benchmarking, financial analysis, change management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel required.
- Change Management skills are essential
- Performance Improvement, six sigma or lean experience desired and / or acquired within specified time frames
- Excellent analytical skills for data analysis and presentations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exhibit sharp attention to detail and accuracy
Project Management Office Roles and Responsibilities :
Able to independently lead a team through the planning, assessment, design, and implementation phases of project managementAble to independently launch new initiative teams as prioritized by Richmond Medical Group AdministrationPMO supported initiatives are project managed utilizing approved methodsServe as a financial data and metrics subject matter expert to each initiative team to drive analytics-based decision makingServe as subject matter expert and lead on key ongoing operations programsAbility to deal in a calm demeanor with multiple independent requests, issues, and problems concurrently with tight timelineCollaborate with all the initiative teams and program management structures to gain operational knowledge of priority areas and develop team strategyAssist in preparation of presentation materials to the Medical Group Executive Management Team, Medical Group Board, etc.Provides support to the Initiative leads on projects tracking the status of the milestone workplan and working with team members on delivering timely materialsApply and utilize project management disciplines and related tools (e.g. change management) to support the various phases of initiatives which are part of the Project Management OfficeGuides teams in identifying the specific initiative charter(s), scope, resources, timelines, and expected benefitsIdentify barriers to project initiatives and manage the development of solutions that are tangible, practical, and sustainableUtilize technology platform for improved communications and meeting efficienciesPossesses aptitude for active learning of complex strategic initiatives and ability to discern where opportunities exist to strengthen organizational performanceEstablish strong interpersonal and facilitation skills with executives responsible for key initiatives which are supported by the BSHSI project management officeComplete Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification within 24 monthsOther Job Functions :

This is a hybrid position, 1-3 days a week required in Richmond, VA office, will be based on project work.This is an exempt position requiring hours of work that extend beyond the traditional work hours, including some evenings and minimal weekends. Travel to local systems will be required, as well as travel to national conferences and meetings as necessary.Office Equipment Used :
