Physician - Psychiatry - Consult Liaison - Grosse Pointe
Corewell Health's department of behavioral health is growing to add a BC / BE Adult Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist to Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital. The Consult Liaison (CL) Psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide psychiatric consultation to medical / surgical units and the emergency department for patients with primary psychiatric conditions or psychiatric comorbidities. The CL Psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and provide recommendations for patients on the respective services, and facilitate referrals for long-term treatment when needed for the diverse population served. This role includes resident and medical student education. The role is expected to be on site at one Corewell Health hospital and responsible for telehealth consults at multiple Corewell Health hospital locations and emergency departments. You will be an employed physician, with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day-to-day operations and leveraging the resources and referral base of the larger Corewell Health East system.
