Obstetrics and Gynecology Locums Physician - North Carolina

Call-only OB / GYN assignment in Hickory, North Carolina, located near Charlotte, with open dates through the end of the year and into 2026.

Highlights

  • Inpatient call only, no clinic or scheduled procedures
  • Average 3 patients per shift with 4 phone consults
  • Home call permitted within 30 minutes of the hospital

Practice Setting

  • 355-bed community hospital
  • 276 annual deliveries
  • Two RNs on-site for support during shifts
  • Cerner EMR

    • Schedule

  • 24-hour call shifts, 7 a.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Choose your own dates, 5 or more shifts per month preferred
  • PRN dates available into 2026

    • Cases and Procedures

  • Labor and delivery, C-sections, and OB triage
  • Mix of low- and high-risk pregnancies
  • No elective or outpatient procedures

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified or Eligible (within 5 years) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active North Carolina license and DEA
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

    • Travel and Accommodations

  • Flights, lodging, rental car, and mileage provided
  • Lodging available near hospital with preferred hotel rate
