Our valued client was founded in Saint Louis in 1889, (and In Humboldt, Tennessee in 1964). They are a contract manufacturer of quality metal stampings, fabrications, and assemblies. Our capabilities include laser cutting, fabricating, stamping, forming, deep drawing, welding and metal finishing. These capabilities allow us to produce parts that range from close tolerance internal transmission parts to very large and heavy, difficult deep drawn components for a variety of applications.
Position Summary :
Welds together metal components of products with electric arc-welding equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
- Welds flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
- Examines weld for bead size and other quality specifications.
- Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
Essential skills and experience :
Employee should be familiar with the operation of MIG and TIG welding and must be able to make his own set up on each job.Must be able to read prints and determine necessary dimensions from same to produce good parts.Must be familiar with various measuring devices used to check necessary dimensions.Must be able to read and understand work center layout along with work order to produce parts.Must furnish necessary general tools to set up the job.Candidate will be required to pass customer mandated certifications once trained.Physical demands and work environment : The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
