Jacobs' Operations Management and Facilities Services (OMFS) practice delivers integrated, adaptive operations, maintenance, and facility management solutions across complex environments. As a Facilities Site Lead, you will direct, plan, and manage the operations, maintenance, and compliance of complex facilities and grounds, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance Management Direct the preventive and corrective maintenance of critical facility components, including roofing, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), elevators, generators, uninterrupted power supply systems (UPS), and other mechanical and electrical systems. Ensure optimal performance, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe, comfortable, and healthy environment.
Safety, Compliance & Quality Control Ensure compliance with applicable local codes, OSHA, ADA, and environmental regulations. Implement and enforce workplace safety standards, maintain air quality at or above industry standards, and conduct routine facility inspections with documented follow-up on deficiencies.
Contract & Vendor Oversight Manage contracts for facility maintenance and services, including development of technical specifications, scopes of work, and cost estimates. Oversee procurement, negotiate vendor terms, lead pre-bid and pre-work meetings, and monitor performance to ensure contractual compliance and quality standards.
Financial & Budget Management Develop, monitor, and control budgets for facility operations and maintenance. Prevent overruns, minimize supplemental agreements, and ensure full compliance with procurement and financial rules and regulations.
Inspection & Deficiency Resolution Schedule and conduct inspections of all facility elements, generate deficiency reports, initiate corrective actions, and ensure timely and documented closure of work orders with acceptable quality standards.
Customer & Stakeholder Coordination Serve as the primary liaison for internal teams, clients, and contractors. Ensure that all site visits, customer interactions, and communications meet Jacobs' service standards and foster positive working relationships.
Strategic Planning & Capital Improvements Conduct facility assessments to identify unmet and future needs. Provide recommendations and input for multi-year capital improvement plans and other strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
Program Management Oversee related programs such as energy conservation, recycling, and site safety initiatives to align with client and Jacobs corporate objectives.
Additional duties as assigned Perform other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the client and organization.
Here's What You'll Need
Extensive knowledge of building systems, facility maintenance engineering, and applicable codes and regulations.
Demonstrated experience managing facility operations, preventive maintenance programs, and capital projects.
Proven ability to develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and technical specifications for facility projects.
Strong contract and vendor management skills, including negotiation and performance oversight.
Experience in budget preparation, monitoring, and cost control for multi-site or complex facilities.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering and architectural plans.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional technical reports.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility management software platforms.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Ideally, You'll Also Have :
Preferred : Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or OSHA safety training.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements :
The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $100,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
