Atmospheric Modeling Scientist

A company is looking for an Atmospheric Modeling Scientist.

Key Responsibilities

Run, verify, and analyze output from numerical weather prediction models

Retrieve and analyze satellite data, including trace gas retrievals

Apply machine learning techniques to atmospheric science datasets

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in atmospheric science or related fields

Direct experience with numerical weather prediction models and satellite data

Excellent programming skills in Fortran, Python, or other common languages

Ability to develop and manage externally funded research programs

Willingness to travel for scientific conferences
