Workday Financial Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the primary resource for financial systems configuration, process optimization, and ongoing support of Workday Financial Management modules for one of our clients on an interim basis. This role is responsible for leveraging deep system expertise to guide stakeholders through complex financial processes and support business transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities :

Serve as a key contributor on Workday Financial Management modules, including but not limited to Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, and Budgets.

Analyze business requirements, design efficient solutions, and configure system workflows for financial operations within Workday.

Support implementation, upgrades, and integrations with other enterprise systems, ensuring best practices and compliance.

Provide advanced troubleshooting for system issues, performing data validation and recommending corrective actions.

Deliver training and documentation for end users, finance teams, and technical staff on Workday Finance processes and features.

Act as a liaison between finance, IT, and business users to drive optimization, new functionality adoption, and process improvement.

Stay current with Workday releases and updates, evaluating impacts and recommending configuration or process changes.

Support audits and reporting requirements by designing custom reports and dashboards for financial stakeholders.

Requirements :

Extensive, demonstrated experience working with Workday Financial Management modules.

Strong understanding of core finance concepts, business operations, and accounting processes.

Experience with system configuration, troubleshooting, and user support in a Workday environment.

Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Proven track record in process improvement, project management, and change management is desired.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, Information Systems, or related field preferred; Workday certification highly desirable.
