TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106!

$2,360 per week

About The Position

Job Title : PICU RN

Certifications : BLS, PALS

Must-Have : CRRT and ECMO procedure experience, vents, working knowledge of inotropic drips

Description :

Start date is January 12, 2026.

Position requires 3x12 or 4x12 shifts.

No RQI certifications accepted.

Must have proof of COVID vaccination, with religious and medical exemptions accepted upon completion of the exemption form, signed by a provider for medical.

Ratios are 1 : 2.

Shifts are rotating; flexibility in working either shift during the contract is required.

Travelers are expected to have 4 weekend shifts per schedule for the night shift, with Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays considered weekends.

Floating to NICU is required.

Pediatric travelers may be asked to assist in other areas without taking care of ED patients directly.

Experience should be recent, within the last two years.

CPR certification and a valid nursing license are mandatory.

Travelers should possess experience in a Level I trauma facility, with strong trauma skills.

Patient population may include neonates, infants, and adolescents with diagnoses such as respiratory distress, renal failure, trauma, multi-system organ failure, and suicide attempts.

Daily census is approximately 15, with a patient capacity of 20 in the unit.

Special procedures / experiences preferred but not mandatory include CRRT and ECMO.

Travelers should have expertise in High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), external ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, IV vasopressors, and post-neurosurgery care.

Personal transportation is required for onsite duties.

Compliance with local travel guidelines for nursing professionals is essential.

Candidates must be available for any required drug testing as part of the hiring process.

Travelers should expect to manage documentation and compliance in a timely manner.

RTO should be limited to no more than 7 days unless otherwise approved.

Redirection is necessary for any candidates residing within a specific mileage radius.

Travelers must ensure they provide necessary documentation as part of the compliance requirements.
