Traffic Engineer

Responsibilities :

Thorough understanding of current traffic engineering standards and practicesWorking knowledge of drafting, traffic analysis, and simulation programs (Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, AUTOCAD) is required. Knowledge of VISSIM and SIDRA is a plusGood writing skills with the ability to prepare reports and memorandums. Interest in learning and growing as a professional while mentoring younger staff to strengthen the teamAttendance at industry events and networking.

Qualifications :

BS in Civil Engineering required with a focus on Traffic / Transportation preferred7+ years of traffic engineering experience preferred. All levels of experience will be consideredPE is required (CT preferred), and PTOE, and RSP are plusses.Experience developing conceptual intersection / corridor options is a plusInterest and experience in working on complete streets projects is a plusExperience with urban design and current design practices for multi-modal accommodation is a plusExperience working on CTDOT projects is a plus
