Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) School Setting

Location : Hueneme, CA Start Date : December 1, 2025 Contract Length : 25 weeks Schedule : Full-time, 40 hours / week (AM shift) Setting : In-person only

Position Overview

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will provide occupational therapy services to students in a school setting. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, conducting standardized assessments, collecting data, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Current California COTA license
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a COTA (school experience preferred)
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required)
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

One serving preschool students at a single site

Local Pay Rate : $55 / hr
