Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Savannah, GA 31405 (Georgia nursing jobs)

Unit : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg)

Employment Type : Travel Nurse Contract

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts / week)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,590 - $1,710

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state)

BLS Certification (required before first shift)

ACLS Certification (required before first shift)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg clinical experience (2 years preferred)

Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for Med / Surg patients

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital and healthcare policies

Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff

Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to all clinical safety protocols

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records

Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary healthcare conferences

Initiate discharge planning and provide patient education from admission

Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team and seek guidance for complex cases

Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment and participate in unit team-building activities

Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study
