Lower School Spanish Teacher, Part-time

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and major concentration in Spanish and / or Education is required. The preferred candidate will have : A native or near-native language proficiency. A master’s degree and / or Commonwealth of Virginia certification. A passion for teaching the Spanish language and culture in a creative, integrated, and innovative way. Knowledge about and experience with the developmental, social, emotional, and cognitive issues of early childhood and primary grades. Experience teaching Spanish at multiple levels. Technological proficiency in the classroom including Google Educational apps, interactive whiteboards, and electronic grade books. Growth mindset and willingness to pursue ongoing professional development. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other Lower School teachers.
