Job Description
We’re looking for entry-level Clinical Coding Specialists who are eager to build their skills and contribute to accurate, timely documentation that supports our clinical and administrative teams. In this role, you’ll review patient documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS Level II codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters.

Key Responsibilities
Review clinical documentation for outpatient and / or inpatient encounters
Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS Level II codes under supervision
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and internal standards
Support training and ongoing development of coding skills
Collaborative Teamwork
This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient- and mission-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an AHIMA- or AAPC-approved coding program preferred
Current CPC-A (AAPC), CCA (AHIMA), or higher-level coding credential required
0–1 year of coding experience (externship experience accepted)
Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language
Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community
