Project Engineer

Black Diamond Construction is a San Diego based General Contractor, focused on a wide variety of Commercial Tenant Improvements and Common Area Improvements. Our firm is growing and to support our growth we are looking to hire a Project Engineer to be an integral part of our team. We are looking for someone with at least 5-10 years of experience in construction or design industry, and willing to move up the ladder fast into a Project Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between Project Manager and Field Superintendents
• Assist with planning, administration and management of each project
• Coordinate, organize and track the flow of information, drawings, files, permits, submittals and correspondence
• Interface with project inspectors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Prepare RFP's and review subcontractors' bids to build a complete Estimate
• Manage RFI's and Submittal Logs
• Put together schedules with the Project team
• Distribute plan changes to the Project team for pricing
• Manage subcontractor change orders and maintain a change order log
• Work with Field Superintendent on scheduling of subcontractors and material lead times
• Prepare Meeting Minutes at project meetings
• Prepare Close Out Package at the end of each project
• Manage Procore project management software daily
