Job descriptionKey Responsibilities : Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including but not limited to brakes, alignments, steering, suspension, and engines. Conduct thorough inspections to identify vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance. Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to effectively troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems. Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to provide accurate estimates and ensure timely completion of services. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Document all repair and maintenance activities in the company’s management system. Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, tools, and OEM specifications. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their vehicle needs and repair options. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal automotive training program is preferred. Minimum of [Insert Number] years of experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on diagnostics and general repair. Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. ASE certification (or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record. Working Conditions : The position requires occasional lifting and physical exertion. Work may be performed in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
