Special Care Unit Nurse

St. Ann's Community is currently looking for an LPN or RN who understands the complexities for memory loss and can deliver care for our special care unit department located on the Irondequoit Campus.

St. Ann's Community Offers :

Full time + Shift differentials
RN Salary range : $33.60 - $42.80 / hr.
LPN Salary range : $25.25 - $32.15 / hr.

Job Description :

Deliver skilled nursing care to elders with cognitive impairment, promoting comfort, safety and emotional well being

Utilize non-pharmacological approaches to manage behavioral and psychological symptoms of Dementia

Partner with families to educate and support them through the Dementia care journey

Maintain a calm and respectful presence, responding to the unique needs of each resident

Candidate Requirements :

NYS RN / LPN License in good standing required

1-3 years of experience in Dementia or Memory care settings

Dementia specific certification (e.g., Alzheimer's Association Dementia care specialist, NCCDP CDP, or equivalent)
