The Junior Accountant supports the mission of the Association through accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations. This position is responsible for overseeing and maintaining core accounting functions, including purchase orders, accounts payable, and credit card administration, while also assisting with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. The Junior Accountant enters and processes purchase orders and invoices directly, reviews purchase orders entered by the staff for compliance and accuracy, and provide training and support to promote consistent financial practices across the Association.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Enter and process purchase orders and vendor invoices in accordance with Association policies.
Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment disbursements.
Administer the association's credit card program, including transaction review, coding verification, and monthly reconciliation.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including recurring entries, accruals, and reclassifications.
Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with the month-end closing process.
Uphold internal controls, financial policies, and procedures related to payables, purchasing, and credit card use.
Work closely with the accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth offers a competitive salary and benefits package for selected candidates.
The yearly salary range for this position is $48,000 - $50,000 and will be commensurate with the selected candidates experience.
