This is a remote position with an ideal base location in Dallas, Austin, or Houston and will require travel throughout the state.

What the Role Is

The Marketing Activation Manager will be responsible for bringing national brand-led consumer marketing programs to life at the local level. This role ensures sponsorships, partnerships, and marketing initiatives, specifically for our set of power brands, are executed with maximum impact across assigned markets and focus cities.

Reporting directly to the AVP, Central Division, the Marketing Activation Manager will work in close partnership with Brand Marketing teams to align strategy and execution, while collaborating with distributor partners and key accounts and our local sales teams to amplify programs. By tailoring consumer-facing activations to the unique needs of each city, this role will strengthen brand presence, increase consumer engagement, and drive long-term growth.

How Will You Spend Your Time?

Marketing Program Activation

  • Translate national consumer marketing initiatives, sponsorships, and partnerships into impactful, market-relevant activations.
  • Lead execution of local activations, including bar programming, event sponsorships, out-of-home, radio, and experiential campaigns.
  • Identify focus cities within the state and implement tailored strategies that resonate with local consumers while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Monitor regional trends and competitive activity, adjusting activation tactics as needed to ensure market relevance.
  • Maintain pulse on local consumer trends and opportunities and partner with national brand teams to capitalize

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Brand Marketing teams to ensure consistency of distinctive assets, creative, messaging and programming while adapting for local execution.
  • Collaborate with Sales, distributors, and key accounts to ensure activations gain placement and visibility in priority venues and retailers.
  • Build strong relationships with local partners, agencies, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality activations.
  • Account Support & Visibility

  • Support sales teams and distributors by integrating marketing activations into priority accounts, amplifying consumer-facing initiatives.
  • Develop localized toolkits and solutions that help accounts bring brand programs to life in ways that increase visibility and engagement.
  • Serve as a marketing resource for strategic accounts and venues, helping them connect national campaigns with local consumer opportunities.
  • Work with Heaven Hill sales team and distributor partners to prioritize and amplify key accounts for activating our brand initiatives and annual objectives.
  • Budget & Performance Management

  • Manage an assigned marketing budget jointly provided by national brand teams and the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Set clear objectives for investment decisions and evaluate the ROI of activations.
  • Track, report / recap, and share learnings to inform future programming and improve efficiency.
  • Share market learnings with both sales and marketing partners and leadership to enhance future programming.
  • Who You Are…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing activation, brand marketing, or event / program management, preferably in the beverage alcohol / CPG / hospitality industry.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple activations simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work cross-functionally across marketing and sales organizations.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and measuring marketing ROI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned state and focus cities.
  • Physical Requirements

    While performing job duties, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, use of computer; and reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds.
