Epilepsy is a neurological condition involving the brain that makes people more susceptible to having recurrent, unprovoked seizures. Akron General's Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) is a ten-bed monitoring unit allowing epilepsy specialists to diagnose a seizure problem accurately and design the best possible treatment plan. Health Unit Clerks are vital to this unit's safety as you will help open the doors to the unit. Unit Clerks also provide an elevated level of customer service to patients, families, visitors, and caregivers to promote and support the highest level of patient experience and perform administrative and clerical duties to ensure efficient operational flow in the unit.
A caregiver in this position works evenings from 3 : 00PM 11 : 30PM, including every other weekend and 3 holidays per year.
