Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a long-term care setting, requiring a WI or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
Work in a long-term care / skilled nursing facility attached to a hospitalUnit serves 70 residents, majority of whom are elderly, frail, or have dementia, and some require rehabilitationPatient ratios : 1 RN to 20 residents, 1 LPN to 20 residents, 1 CNA to 8 residentsCommon duties include charting, assessments, charge duties, medication administration, and clinical procedures such as IVs, catheters, and ostomy careEMR used is ECSShifts are 8 hours : 6 : 30am-3pm, 2 : 30pm-11pm, and 10 : 30pm-7am, with block schedulingEvery other weekend and holiday coverage requiredNo on-call responsibilitiesFloating may be required within the facilityResponsibilities include direct patient care, care planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members such as therapy, social work, dietary, and administrationUnit has physician and respiratory therapy availability after hours, and pharmacy support with onsite medication dispensingScrub attire must be any solid color, clean, and professionalOrientation details based on skills and experienceAll clinicians must clock in and out at the facilityCandidates within 80 miles are considered local and subject to adjusted ratesMust be available to cover at least half of the holidays during assignmentRequirements
Active WI or compact RN license required by start dateCurrent BLS (AHA) certificationMinimum of 1 year RN experience, with experience in elderly populations requiredTwo professional references required, including one from a supervisor and one from a supervisor or peerFormer permanent staff must have a minimum six-month gap prior to considerationBenefits
